Hey all

Since Anet now are well into the habit of giving 'special' rewards for different aspects of the game on weekends, I want to open this petition to have a weekend where we can all get X 3 on each of the blessing/bounty we get from npcs at shrines.

I.E. if the npc gives you 2 lightbringer points for each particluar monster you kill, that we get 6 points.

Why?

Well, I for one cannot farm LB points in this 'afk-mode' that many people seem to be doing now.

I dont criticise nor condone that fashion but for people like me and I am sure that there are others here, it throws the balance a bit off.

Yeah I really hope they give us that.... I am getting bored of farming lb points already.... 4.5k does get to you ^^ when u only get 2 points per kill.

Well, they should nuke all the afk farming of these before they give a bonus or it would really just reward bad behavior.

Well that sounds like a good idea, but it also sounds like a terrible idea seeing as how afk farming would speed up 3x faster with more lb farming per hour. Either way its going to be complicated to get rid of it.

Why not have Anet boost it to 23 points per kill? It would be as fast as getting Sunspear Marshall with 7 points per kill.

I think that the side quests should be boosted....I mean 15 lightbringer pts for a masters quest....c'mon

1. Petitions, suggestions, etc. belong in the Sardelac Sanitarium forum.

2. If you actively farmed Lightbringer points in the Realm of Torment 1-2 hours a day for a week you'd have r5, which is a significant boost to your abilities. Any higher Lightbringer titles should be left to those that do want to farm for it.

where on earth did this petition craze come from? Every thread petition petition petition. It's as though you'd think that the developers are more likely to do it just because you add that word in the thread title.

Farming for Lightbringer isn't a race...

go into the nightfallen garden. once you get the margonite one you're laughing. there must be 200 margnoites to kill. you could o that in an hour easily.

You may find this piddly, well fair enough, I suppose you are entitled to your opinion, but don't make a federal case out of it by using these words.

By the way you cannot speak for the producers nor speculate what they will either do or not do.

You may be one of those who farm LB points AFK or perhaps you are not.

But we, and I say We (all of us) have to be aware that already there is LB Rank discrimination being implemented by many players.

This is going to become a 'HA' racist situation.

I have to remind all about the IWAY and VIMWAY syndrome that dominated HA where the "brainless bashers" got qick rank etc.

AFK farming is something, like I said above, that I neither criticise nor condone those who do it, that is to say I have no problem whatsoever, but, whether we like it or not, this is certainly throwing the balance out and without a shadow of a doubt, ANET will nerf this soon (sorry for using the word nerf).

If they give us triple points in an event, this will certainly give a boost to the afk farmers, but they will also boost those who do the farming the normal way.

This is the reason for the origin of this petition, nothing else, as until, if it happens, LB point farming is nerfed, the afk farming will get massive points accumulations in comparison to those who do it the conventional way.

Whether we we like it or not, the balance is thrown out,

I do not know if you ever have seen the rank discrimination in HA.

For me anyway, its pretty lame and even though nothing can or will be done about this, I have to be a devils advocate and say that this discrimniation will be hitting PvE with the LB system, just wait and see.

I realise that I have diverted from the origin of this post but all this is connected.

That was all but if you don't like the idea just say NAY.

This forum is precisely for input, feedback etc but to hear negative remarks like yours is just lame.

Elsalamandra has a point, Terra. If they took off the word "petition", it would be the same thread, asking the same thing, being in the same place. No real point in making trouble with it. Leave it be. Anyway, back to impotant matters.

I like the idea. I'll have to push further into Elona before then for good farming areas. Haven't got far...crunch time for us college folks over here...tests and midterms coming out my ears. 0_o Although, the whole "afk" farming thing is a good point, though i don't know much about how that works/done so I can't put much insight into the matter. I would like to have this implimented as a special weekend sometime.

An unranked player cannot join a ranked group in HA under normal circumstances.

They get called noob etc etc. tell me you have not experienced this eithe directly or indirectly.

if this is not racism (asking for rank wateva of lb points to join a group) then what is it then?

look, we can be here all day discussing this but it will not dismiss the fact that this 'rank requirement' which has been aforementioned is pure ans unadulterated racism by players who are setting these conditions into this game, as those who did it in HA which reflected itself in TA and now sadly enough, its commencing to reflect itself into pve.

By the way (and DUH) just because someone has rank or lightbringer rank does not mean they are UBBER, far from it.

It just shows how stuck-up pathetic individuals create these parametres of racism.

Many ranked players have done it through iway or vimway.

Lightbringer ranked through afk farming.

I say again, I have no problem with those methods but the origin of this, my thread, was to merely suggest to anet to make a 'special weekend; event where players would get triple bonus from the bounties offered by the lightbringer npcs in elona.

Chances are they will do this. They had double faction weekends, not long after factions was released.

Its called discrimination / elitism. Racist is not the approriate word to use.
Why?

Coz, racist is a compliation of 2 words. Racist = race + discrimination. Since there are no race involved (eg. asking for ranks), elitism discrimination is the more approriate settings.

This is a sad fact in life that will always occur regardless of where you are in the world.
